System Recovery on my computer?

Published by admin under data recovery

I have recently done a system recovery on my computer. I was not able to backup the files. Is there any hardware or software that will recover the data?

System Recovery doesn't delete any files, it just restores a backup of the registry (the one made on the restore date you chose).

If you mean that you reinstalled Windows, it depends on whether you formatted the drive or not. If you did, there's nothing to recover. If you didn't, the files are still there.

If you're talking about programs, no, you can't recover programs - they have to be installed again.

can any one tell me how to take visual studio 2005 software backup in dvd?

Published by admin under data recovery

i have visual studio 2005 software folder in my computer hard disk, i write the folder in empty dvd using nero software by ordinary way and the dvd is not working when i try to install in another computer, so can any one tell me how to take visual studio 2005 software backup in dvd by using nero so that i can install in any machine?

Installing software doesn't work like that. You need to use the original installation disk. You can't backup software from your computer and restore it to another computer. You can backup the data.

if you installed a diffrent version of windows on your computer, could you still use the old recovery disk?

Published by admin under data recovery

I have a windows xp laptop. I installed windows 98 onto it (Dont Ask) with an old setup disk I had. I wanted to go back to windows xp and I called up the computer company. When I get the RECOVERY disk for the original version of xp, will it work as the setup disk for it?

Is this a recovery DISK as in DISKETTE or recovery CD as in a Windows XP OEM cd?

I'm not sure you'll get the whole shebang of XP from a floppy disk, it's probably just a startup recovery with a couple repair routines.

But if its the CD then you'll have no problems once you go through the steps.

is there any software to use a database sql server 2000, instead of using sql server 2000?

Published by admin under database backup

i have a backup database from sql server 2000, when i had windows xp, and now sql server 2000 is not work on vista OS, and i can not restore database, i want a software to restore the database and works like sql server, do you know any software to do this job? thanks.

It depends on how you saved the backup. If it's just the files themselves, you'll have to import them into a database program that can import from SQL Server 2000. If not, you'll need a database that can read the format you saved in.

How to undelete the recycle bin?

Published by admin under data recovery

So I accidently deleted my recycle bin off my computers desktop. How do I get it back?

Here is the easy way "well hopefully",

Go to start, all programs, accesories, system tools, system restore, if you remember the date when you delete the icon, go to the day before check point and make a restore. Follow the steps on the screen and when it reboots, you gonna have your recycle bin icon again on your desktop.
